Cowboys Win Streak Hits 60

AMES, Iowa - Oklahoma State's top-ranked wrestling team won its 60th straight dual with a win over Iowa State Tuesday evening in Ames, Iowa.
The Cowboys have now won 49 straight matches on the road and 15 straight against Big 12 foes.
The Cowboys opened the dual with a 4-2 loss by Josh Cruzan to the Cyclones' Zach Thompson. The Cowboys then took control of the dual when Dave Anderton pinned Mark Knauer. Knauer had beaten Anderton in the National Duals this past Saturday.
The Cowboys then got expected wins from Teague Moore, Eric Guerrero and Charles Walker before the intermission. Moore defeated Jesse West 14-3, Guerrero defeated Cody Sanderson 6-0 and Walker majored Benjie Winegarden, 10-2.
Following the intermission, Reggie Wright lost his first match of the season. He dropped a tough 5-4 decision to Cole Sanderson. Wright had defeated Sanderson 10-2 in their last match. Jimmy Arias then won his match over long-time rival David Maldanado, 3-1. He won the match with a take down with five seconds to go in the match.
Joe Heskett then beat Ty Wilcox 10-1 to remain undefeated on the season for the Cyclones. Mark Smith remained undefeated with a 15-6 win over Perry Parks. Cael Sanderson defeated Mark Mu-oz for the second straight time, 10-2.
The Cowboys return to action Sunday when they wrestle at North Carolina and North Carolina State.
