Cowboys Finish Third at Golf Digest

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Charles Howell carded a final-round 66 to finish in third place individually and lead the fourth-ranked OSU men's golf team to a third-place finish as well at the Golf Digest Collegiate tournament Sunday.
Howell finished at 7-under-par 209, one stroke behind Texas' David Gossett, who won individual medalist honors in a playoff over Georgia Tech's Bryce Molder. Howell recovered from an opening-round 74 to post his fourth top-five finish in this year's six tournaments.
Freshman Anders Hultman's 1-under score of 215 left him in 11th place, his second-best finish this year. Juniors Edward Loar and Landry Mahan tied for 28th place with a 54-hole score of 220, and freshman Nick Seymour (36th, 222) rounded out the Cowboys' individual showings.
OSU returns to action March 22-23 when it competes in the Morris Williams Invitational in Austin, Texas.
