Women's Track and Field Garners Accolades.

STILLWATER, Okla. - Thirteen members of the Oklahoma State women's track and field team earned Academic All-Big 12 honors, The conference announced last week.
OSU had 10 Cowgirls named to the first team, while three others received honorable mention honors. To to be named to the Academic All-Big 12 list, the athlete must maintain a 3.00 grade point average and participate in at least 50 percent of her team's competitions. First-team members must have maintained a 3.20.
Those earning first-team honors included Tiffany Davis, Nancy Guillen, Alexandra Lindquist, Jennifer Price, Karen Rademeyer, Megan Robbins, Hanna Smedstad, Andrene Thompson, Sara Thorsell and Vanessa Wilhelm.
Hanna Smedstad and Alexandra Lindquist were both nominated with a 4.0. Smedstad, a junior from Sundsvall, Sweden, has provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championship in both the 3,000m and 5,000m. Lindquist, a freshman from Norrtalje, Sweden, has qualified in the 1,500 and 3,000m.
Three Cowgirls were also named to the honorable mention team. Receiving those honors were Amy Carroll, Stephani Duff and Nikki Roady.
