Women's Track Squad Dominates Fayetville Invite

STILLWATER, Okla. - The Cowgirls came home from a successful Bank of Fayetteville Invitational on Friday, in Fayetteville, Ark with three individual champions to go along with a strong overall team effort.
Leading the way in the scoring column once again for the Cowgirls was Hanna Smedstad. Bringing home her second title in as many meets. Smedstad won the 3,000m in a time of 9:45.48 which topped the rest of the field by over 12 seconds.
Andrea Holloway had another strong performance in the shot put, winning her second title of the year with a throw of 45-5.75. Nancy Guillen turned in a fourth-place outing in the weight throw with a throw of 50-3.5.
Megan Robbins broke into the winners circle for the first time this season with jump of 11-1 that tied her for first place.
Two-time All-American Sherita Jackson finished second in the 60m dash with a time of 7.64. Freshman Alexandra Lindquist ran the 800m in 2:14.81 good enough for a second place finish.
The Cowgirls 4X400m Relay team finished second behing Southwest Missouri State with a time of 3:51.48.
