Women's Soccer Ties Texas, 2-2

STILLWATER, Okla. - The Oklahoma State women's soccer team (7-8-3, 1-6-3 Big 12) closed out its 1998 campaign with a 2-2 tie against the University of Texas (6-8-3; 4-3-3 Big 12) Sunday afternoon at the OSU Soccer Complex.
Forward Missy Moss scored both goals for the Cowgirls, the second one coming at the 78:09 mark which sent the game into overtime.
The match was the seventh overtime match of the season for OSU which is a new school record. Five of those contests came in succession, also a school record.
OSU opened the scoring in the contest when Moss took an assist from midfielder Andi Lute and scored past the Texas goalkeeper at the 6:26 mark.
Oklahoma State led 1-0 at halftime before Texas tied four minutes into the second period when Melissa Rubey scored off an assist by Alanna Makinano. Rubey then gave the Longhorns the lead scoring on a breakaway at the 73:39 mark.
OSU goalkeeper Chrystal Emerson, playing in her final game for the Cowgirls, made 10 saves in 120 minutes in between the pipes.
Seniors Emily Morgan, Melissa Wykes and Melissa Caldwell also played in their last game for OSU.
