LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech forward Amy Rutstein netted her second goal of the game at the 115:11 mark in overtime as the Red Raiders defeated Oklahoma State, 2-1, Friday afternoon at R.P. Fuller Stadium.
OSU (7-4-2, 1-2-1 Big 12), playing in its fifth consecutive overtime match, lost two consecutive games for the first time this season.
Rutstein opened the scoring 2:48 into the contest off a feed from Lindsay Thompson to give Texas Tech an early 1-0 lead.
Sophomore forward Andrea Larsen responded for the Cowgirls with a header goal, her sixth of the season, at the 24:43 mark, tying the game at 1-1.
Both teams battled to a scoreless draw in the second half with the Texas Tech defense limiting the OSU offense to only one shot in the last 70 minutes of play.
Senior goalkeeper Chrystal Emerson recorded a season-high 12 saves on 23 Red Raider shots in between the pipes for OSU.
Oklahoma State will look to rebound against No. 18 Baylor on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. in Waco, Texas.
