Women's Soccer Falls to North Texas, 3-1

DENTON, Tex. - Oklahoma State (3-1) had its six game winning streak snapped with a 3-1 loss to North Texas (4-1) Sunday afternoon in Denton, Texas.
North Texas forward Christy Johnson scored with 25 seconds remaining in the first half to give the Lady Eagles a 1-0 halftime advantage.
Johnson scored her second goal of the match at the the 55:46 mark which proved to be the gamewinner.
OSU midfielder Melissa Wykes scored her second goal of the season on a penalty kick at the the 69:13 mark to cut the lead to 2-1.
North Texas' Krista Davey scored her fifth goal of the season at the 77:54 mark to give the Lady Eagles a 3-1 lead.
The Cowgirls will be back in action when they host Oklahoma in the "Bedlam Battle" on Friday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m. at the OSU Soccer Complex.
