Women's Soccer Falls in Exhibition Match

TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts used a rocket shot goal from thirty yards out by Kaci Dinsmore to edge past the Cowgirls, 2-1, in exhibition soccer action Sunday afternoon at the ORU Soccer Complex.
The Golden Eagles opened the scoring at the 26:00 mark when Anna Yovino netted a goal over OSU goalkeeper Chrystal Emerson's outstretched arms, giving ORU a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Trailing 2-0 after Dinsmore's goal at the 62:05 mark, Oklahoma State responded with an Andrea Larsen goal into the far post, which cut the lead to 2-1, with 20 minutes remaining.
OSU outshot ORU, 10-7, in the second half but had their last chance tie the game with 1:50 left denied when freshman defender Myszka Paprocki line shot was saved by ORU goalkeeper Amanda Layall.
Both teams recorded 15 shots during the contest with ORU's Layall notching eight saves with OSU's Emerson making seven.
The Cowgirls went 1-1 in exhibition play and will open the regular season against Drury College on Friday, August 30, in Fayetteville, Ark. at 2 p.m.
