Pole Vaulter Megan Robbins Qualifies for Nationals

ATLANTA, Ga. - Freshman Cowgirl pole vaulter Megan Robbins and senior Cowgirl middle distance runner Andrene Thompson traveled to Georgia Tech over the weekend to take part in the Reebok Invitational on the George C. Griffin Track.

Robbins broke her outdoor school record for the fourth time this year, vaulting 11-7. Her performance bettered the 11-1.75 vaulted last weekend in Columbia, Mo. during the Big 12 Championships. Both performances provisionally qualified her for the NCAA meet in Buffalo, N.Y. on June 3-6.

Thompson aimed to qualify in the 800m run but her seventh-place 2:07.63 finish, fell a bit short of the 2:07.50 required provisional qualifying standard.
