Men's Track Competes at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - The Oklahoma State men's track and field team recorded national level times from two Cowboys during the Friday distance events at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa.

Sophomore Chuck Sloan qualified for the USA National Championships in June with his automatic NCAA qualifying time of 8:42.04 in the 3,000m steeplechase event. Sloan's performance was a personal best and a fourth place finish at Penn.

Juniors Ren Carlsen, Nathaniel Lane and senior Erik Framme participated in the 10,000m run.

Carlsen provisionally qualified for the NCAA championships with his personal best time of 29:27.41 (sixth place).

Lane also ran a personal best time of 30:12.52, finishing in 23rd place. Framme completed the race in 30th finishing in a time of 30:26.24
