Men's Golf Takes Lead into Final Round

TEMPE, Ariz. - The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State men's golf team holds a one-shot lead after Saturday's first two rounds of the ASU Thunderbird/SAVANE Invitational at the Karsten Course.
Senior Bo Van Pelt, tied for fourth place at 2-under-par 142, and freshman Boyd Summerhays, in eighth at 1-under, are among the individual top 10 to lead the Cowboys to a 4-over score through 36 holes. The Cowboys lead tournament host and defending champion Arizona State by one stroke and UCLA by two.
Rounding out the Cowboys' individual performances were Edward Loar and Jay Tewell, both tied for 20th at plus-three, and Charles Howell, tied for 59th at 8-over.
The tournament concludes with a single round Sunday. The Cowboys are looking for their first team title of the season.
