STILLWATER, Okla. - Individual top-10 finishes at last week's U.S. Collegiate Championship helped freshman Charles Howell and sophomore Edward Loar move up in the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings released Wednesday.
In addition, Oklahoma State moved up two spots to sixth in the team rankings after finishing second at the U.S. Collegiate.
Howell, whose runner-up performance at the tournament in St. Augustine, Fla., was his fourth straight top-10 finish, moved from No. 23 last week to the 17th spot in this week's rankings. Loar finished ninth at the U.S. Collegiate and moved up one spot to No. 8. Senior Bo Van Pelt also remained in the top 50 and now stands in the 45th slot.
The Cowboys' next competition will be April 18-19 at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on the Karsten Course in Tempe, Ariz.
