Cowgirl Track Wraps up Weekend

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's track team wrapped up an exciting weekend with the Tyson Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relay on Saturday and Sunday.
Nancy Guillen brought home an individual title at the Mt. SAC Relays in the hammer throw. Her mark of 201 feet, three inches broke the school record that she set last week and gave her the third-best throw in the country.
Three other Cowgirls provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships at the Mt. SAC Relays. Andrene Thompson finished seventh in the invitational division of the 800m with a time of 2:06.90. Alexandra Lindquist qualified in the 1,500m, running 4:23.31 and finishing seventh in the invitational division. Hanna Smedstad rounds out the trio, finishing 13th in the 5,000m with a time of 16:20.13.
OSU competed in the finals of the Tyson Invitational on Saturday. Sherita Jackson won the 200m dash in a time of 23.89 seconds and finished third in the 100m dash. The Cowgirl 4X100m relay team turned in a fourth-place finish with a time of 46.64.
The Cowgirls will travel to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia on April 22-24.
