Cowgirl Track Open Outdoor Season

STILLWATER, Okla. - The Oklahoma State Cowgirl track team opened their outdoor season when they hosted the 1998 Oklahoma State Duals today at the Kaye Barrett Droke Track and Field Center in Stillwater, Okla.
The highlight of the day was the come from behind victory in the 4X100m relay. Juniors Melody Vaughn, Andrene Thompson, sophomore Natasha Santee and junior Sherita Jackson joined together to run the relay. Jackson, who recently earned her second 200m All-America honor came from behind to edge out second place Ranger College in a time of 46.19.
Another highlight performance was given by junior Andrene Thompson and sophomore Natasha Santee in the 400m.
Thompson, who recently broke a Big 12 and OSU Cowgirl 800m indoor record at the Big 12 Championships in Ames, Iowa, went 1-2 with sophomore Natasha Santee respectively in the 400m in a time of 55.68 and 56.67.
