STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State women's soccer head coach Karen Hancock and her staff were extremely pleased overall with the first day of practice.
"We are particularly happy with the physical fitness of the girls reporting to camp," Hancock said. "The physical shape of this year's squad is the best we have had in the three years of the program," added the coach.
The Cowgirls particpated in a intrasquad scrimmage with all 23 players seeing playing time. "We observed some things we really liked as well as some things we will work on in the upcoming weeks," noted Hancock.
The squad held two practices, one at 11 a.m. and one at 6 p.m. The team will continue its two-a-day routine until Sunday, Aug. 16, before the start of school on Monday, Aug. 17.
