STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State will play its first game in over a week against TCU on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the TCU Baseball Diamond.
The Cowboys (12-6, 1-5 Big 12) last played on Mar. 9 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Stillwater, defeating the Lions 22-1. OSU's three-game conference set against Missouri was canceled last weekend due to inclimate weather.
Oklahoma State and TCU have met on 11 previous occasions in baseball with the Cowboys holding a 7-4 advantage. The two teams last met on Feb. 6, 1998, at the Showdown in the Desert tournament in Peoria, Ariz., with the Pokes coming away with the 9-3 win.
TCU is 11-11 overall and 5-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. The Horned Frogs fell to Oral Roberts 20-10 last Sunday and have lost four of their last six games. TCU will play Texas in Austin today at 2 p.m. before facing the Pokes.
Senior Dale Pearson will get the start for OSU with Thom Dreier and Matt Smith expected to see action in relief.
Oklahoma State will be back in action at home this weekend against Iowa State. The series was originally scheduled to be played in Ames, but because of snow in Iowa, it will now be played at Reynolds Stadium at 2 p.m. on Friday-Sunday.
