COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Centerfielder Steve Truitt's two run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth lifted Texas A&M to a 4-3 win over Oklahoma State in front of 4,343 fans at Olsen Field Sunday afternoon.
The win gave the Aggies (12-2, 3-0 Big 12) the series sweep, the first time that the Cowboys (8-4, 0-3 Big 12) have been swept in Big 12 play.
Texas A&M opened the scoring in the bottom of third off of RBI singles by Daylan Holt and Ryan Scarborough giving the Aggies a 2-0 lead.
The Cowboys came back to tie the score in the top of the fifth when centerfielder Jimbo McAuliff launched his second homer of the season to leftfield.
Cowboy starter Denny New pitched five and a third innings and gave up two runs on six hits while striking out five.
