Cowboys Second at U.S. Collegiate Golf Championships

LECANTO, Fla. -- Anders Hultman and Landry Mahan carded 70s to lead fifth-ranked OSU into second place after one round of the U.S. Collegiate Golf Championship.
Hultman and Mahan are tied for seventh, four strokes off the pace set by Paul Casey of Arizona State, which is also on top of the team standings. OSUs first-round score of 3-under-par 285 is six strokes behind the Sun Devils.
Edward Loar (16th with an even-par round of 72), Charles Howell (27th at 73) and Nick Seymour (57th at 81) rounded out the OSU lineup.
The Cowboys will try to cut into ASUs lead in Saturdays second round, which will be televised live on ESPN from 1 to 3 p.m. CST. Sundays final round will also be televised on the national sports network at 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. CDT.
