Cowboys Outlast Nebraska in Baseball, 13-11

STILLWATER, Okla. - With six lead changes and four ties, Oklahoma State (34-13, 13-8 Big 12) won a wild game over Nebraska 13-11, Saturday night.
In a game that had a collective 18 extra base hits, the Cowboys combined for five home runs and five doubles. Nebraska had seven doubles which is a new Allie P. Reynolds Stadium record for opponents and they also had a home run in the game.
Oklahoma State took the first lead of the game in the first inning with Kevin Lucas and Josh Holliday hitting home runs to put the Pokes on top 3-0.
Nebraska (21-17, 7-10 Big 12) came back with a pair of doubles in the third that scored three runs. Craig Moore hit one of his two doubles in the game scoring two Husker runners. Moore would later score off a wild pitch.
The Huskers also exploded in the fourth with a home run by Jeff Hedman and Moore scoring off another double to place them on top 5-3.
Marc Fournier and JimBo McAuliff both hit two RBI dingers in the fourth to rally ahead of the Huskers, 7-5.
In the fifth, NU scored four runs on five hits, including two doubles, to go take the lead 9-7. Donny Starkins had a two RBI base hit.
Oklahoma State would score five runs in the seventh and eighth innings, highlighted by Billy Gasparino hitting a solo home run and RBI doubles by Lucas and Marc Fournier.
Oklahoma State and Nebraska will play Apr. 26, at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium at 2 p.m.
