Cowboys Fall to Baylor, 5-2

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's 20th ranked baseball team fell to 21st ranked Baylor 5-2 Friday afternoon at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
The loss was the Cowboys' first home loss of the season, and increased Baylor's win streak to 12.
Sophomore pitcher Matt Smith pitched a complete game as he recorded a career high 14 strikeouts and walked no Baylor batters.
Third baseman Josh Holliday led the offensive attack for the Cowboys with a two-run double in the seventh inning. Catcher Ryan Budde and centerfielder Jimbo McAuliff also recorded hits for the Cowboys.
Baylor was led by third baseman Preston Underdown, who was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. Left fielder Mark Cogdill also added two hits for Baylor.
Oklahoma State will be back in action tomorrow as they face Baylor again on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Cowboys will wrap up the series on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
