STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's baseball team will look to get on the winning track in Big 12 play this weekend against Iowa State at Reynolds Stadium.
The Cowboys and Cyclones will meet Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. The series was originally scheduled to be played in Ames, Iowa, but was moved to Stillwater because of inclimate weather last week. Iowa State has yet to play at home in 18 games this season and has had to reschedule two home Big 12 series.
Oklahoma State is coming off a 5-4 loss to TCU on Wednesday. The Horned Frogs rallied to score three runs in the bottom of the ninth and handed the Pokes only their second non-conference loss of the season in 13 contests. With the loss, OSU dropped to 12-7 overall and are 1-5 in Big 12 action.
Iowa State is in search of its first win in conference play and comes in with a 5-13 mark overall, 0-6 in Big 12 play. The Cyclones dropped two to Oral Roberts on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9-0 and 18-8. Iowa State has yet to play at home in 18 games this season and has now had to reschedule two home Big 12 series.
Sophomore Matt Smith (3-1, 2.25 ERA) is slated to start Friday's contest while Thom Dreier (2-1, 1.11 ERA) will start on Saturday. Sunday's starter is yet to be determined by the Cowboy coaching staff. Both Smith and Dreier will see their first game action in two weeks due to last weekend's snow storm.
Tickets from the canceled Missouri series as well as the March 10 game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff will be honored against Iowa State.
