STILLWATER, Okla. - The Cowboys (4-4) won the third game of the three game series against Southern Illinois, 8-6, Sunday afternoon.
Southern Illinois, a Division I school, scored first in the second inning, its only lead of the three games. Oklahoma State rallied in the bottom half of the fourth inning, with senior Steve Hill hitting a three-run home run to take the lead.
Oklahoma State would later get a pair of runs in the seventh inning to close the game.
Oklahoma State head coach Tom Holliday celebrated his 50th win of his head coaching career..
Oklahoma State will continue its homestand Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. against Centenary.
