STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State (10-4) scored more than 20 runs at home for the fifth straight game en route to a 24-0 blanking of Prairie View A&M (6-14) Wednesday afternoon at Reynolds Stadium.
Junior Lamont Matthews went 2-for-2 at the plate with a home run, double and three RBIs. First baseman Trevor Leu was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.
Pitcher David Rollandini (1-0) picked up the win with four innings of shutout ball and five strikeouts. Four Cowboy pitchers combined to allow only three hits in the ballgame as OSU recorded its shutout of the season.
The Cowboys remained a perfect 7-0 at home with the win and will host Baylor in a three-game series this weekend. The Pokes and Bears will open the OSU's home conference slate on Friday, March 5 at 3 p.m.
