Baseball Loses in Extra Innings

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State (17-9, 4-4 Big 12) and Texas Tech (21-10, 5-4 Big 12) went 12 innings before Texas tech won 13-12, late Friday evening.
Texas Tech scored four runs in the first two innings to take an early lead. But the Cowboys came back in the bottom of the second scoring four runs with a spark by a Tony Lucca home run.
The Pokes would later score four runs in the third to take the lead 8-4. The Aggies would bounce back in the fifth and seventh innings scoring four runs and the Cowboys trying to answer with one in the sixth.
In the bottom of the ninth, the Cowboys rallied three runs, on a two run home run by Brad Smith. The tying run would come later with a single by Kevin Lucas scoring Rusty Puffinbarger.
Game two of the three game series will be Saturday, March 28, beginning at 2 p.m.
