STILLWATER, Okla. - Baylor erupted for three goals in the second half and shut out Oklahoma State 4-0 in women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at the OSU Soccer Complex.
Courtney Saunders scored two goals for the Bears, the first coming at the 9:38 mark in the first half. After a Tamura Crawley score three minutes into the second period, Saunders scored again off a rebounded shot that was deflected by OSU goalkeeper Katharine Doud.
Alexia Davis closed out the scoring for Baylor with an unassisted goal with less than four minutes remaining in the contest. The Bears outshot the Cowgirls 30-10 and 19-4 in the second half.
Baylor goalkeeper Dawn Greathouse recorded her sixth shutout of the season and made three saves on the afternoon.
Andrea Larsen and Kellie White led the OSU attack with two shots on goal and one shot on goal respectively.
The Cowgirls dropped to 4-12 on the year and 2-6 in Big 12 play while the Bears improved to 11-5 and 5-3 in conference action.
Oklahoma State will play its final two home games of the season next weekend beginning with Iowa State on Friday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. at the OSU Soccer Complex.
