Cowboy Golfers in Fourth After One Round

Oklahoma State is in fourth place after the first round of the Red River Classic today. OSU's 14-under-par first round has the Cowboys seven strokes behind leader South Carolina, which recorded a tournament-record first-round score of 267.
Charles Howell and true freshman J.C. DeLeon are tied for 15th place after opening rounds of 68, four strokes behind South Carolina's Kyle Thompson. Edward Loar and Landry Mahan also recorded sub-70 rounds and are in 23rd place, five strokes off the pace. Anders Hultman carded a 75 in the opening round, and Billy Lowry, competing as an individual, recorded a four-over-par 76.
