COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri held Oklahoma State to only one shot the entire game en route to a 3-0 win in women's soccer action Sunday afternoon.
MU's first goal came at 5:49 when Kristin Boeker sent a rifle shot at the net that struck the crossbar and bounced towards Sarah Sallee. The sophomore forward headed a shot on goal that partially deflected off the crossbar and OSU goalkeeper Katharine Doud. Nikki Thole was there to head the loose ball in the net for a 1-0 lead.
The Tigers struck again at 16:20 as Amy Timmermann sent a cross into the box which glanced off Thole and right to the feet of Sallee about ten yards out. Sallee settled and one-timed a shot into the left corner for her fifth goal.
Missouri continued to attack the net, netting another goal at 57:36 when a Kristin Boeker corner kick was knocked in by senior Mandy Pavlovits for a 3-0 lead.
The duo of Katharine Doud and Laurel Catlett-King combined for 10 saves in net for OSU in the loss.
Oklahoma State fell to 3-11 on the year and 1-5 in Big 12 play while Missouri improved to 10-3 overall and 5-1 in conference action.
