STILLWATER, Okla. -
Oklahoma State continues its men?s golf season when the fifth-ranked Cowboys compete Monday and Tuesday in the Red River Classic in Dallas.
The 15-team field, which includes eight ranked teams ? No. 5 OSU, No. 8 Houston, No. 10 BYU, No. 12 Texas, No. 16 New Mexico, No. 18 Oklahoma, No. 21 Arizona and No. 25 TCU ? will play 36 holes Monday and 18 Tuesday at the Dallas Athletic Club.
Junior Charles Howell and sophomore Anders Hultman, who began the season with top-10 finishes at the Ping-Golfweek Preview Invitational on Sept. 19-21, will lead the Cowboys? five-man lineup in the Red River Classic. At No. 3 in the latest MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, Howell is tied with Texas? David Gossett as the highest-ranked player in the Classic field.
10th-ranked senior Edward Loar, the next-highest ranked individual in the field, will Howell, Hultman, junior Landry Mahan and true freshman J.C. DeLeon on the OSU roster. Redshirt freshman Billy Lowry will compete as an individual in the event.
