Ryan Roberts

Ryan Roberts joined the Oklahoma State staff as an assistant defensive backs coach in December of 2025. He works with the OSU safeties.
He came to OSU from North Texas, where he worked as a defensive graduate assistant with the cornerbacksĀ for the 2025 season.
Prior to that, he spent the 2024 season as a graduate assistant working with the safeties at Sam Houston.
In his one year with the Bearkats, Roberts helped SHSU finish 19th in FBS in total defense, 10th in passing defense, eighth in red zone defense andĀ 17th in the nation in turnovers forced. The BearkatsĀ finished the year 10-3 and earn the first bowl victory in program history with a 31-26 win over Georgia Southern in the New Orleans Bowl.
Prior to his time at Sam Houston, Roberts played quarterback at McNeese from 2021-23. He appeared in 10 games and made four starts after beginning his career as a walk on. Following his playing career, Roberts was aĀ student assistant at McNeeseĀ working with the quarterbacks in the Spring of 2024.
Roberts achieved his bachelor's degree in sport and wellness management from McNeese in 2024.
