Rachel Dirksen joined the Oklahoma State Sports Medicine staff in September of 2024 working with Cheer and Pom.

Previously, she worked with the 38^th Rescue Squadron with Combat Rescue Officers, Pararescue, and Sere Specialists who conduct Combat Search and Rescue at Moody Air Force Base. Before that, she worked at the 351^st Special Warfare Training Squadron at Kirtland Air Force Base responsible for training all Air Force Pararescuemen and Combat Rescue Officers. In 2024, she worked with the USA Master’s Field Hockey teams during both the Indoor World Cup in Nottingham England, as well as Outdoor World Cup in Auckland, New Zealand.

Rachel holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2011. She is Board Certified in Athletic Training and holds both Oklahoma and Georgia state licensure for Athletic Training. She has been certified in dry needling since 2016.

Rachel is married to Major Matthew Dirksen, USAF. They have two red-headed kids and a black lab named Waffles Falafels.
