About me: I moved to Oklahoma in the Summer of 2018. Before moving to Oklahoma, I was a high school English teacher. Before taking on this Learning Specialist position, I worked as a writing tutor here in the ASSA.
Hometown:Â South Waverly, Pa.
High School:Â Sayre Area High School (Sayre, Pa.).
Education: BA – English Literature (Ursinus College ’14), MS – Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (Oklahoma State University ’20), PhD – Curriculum Studies (Oklahoma State in progress).
Hobbies:Â Running & Swimming
Favorite music: Music that fits the mood and/or the activity.
Favorite movie:Â There are a lot on this list, but some of them are: "Interstellar", "Get Out", and "Your Name".
Favorite quote:Â "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced." --Â James Baldwin
Best advice for college students:Â Find the resources available to you, and use them. Never be afraid to ask for help.
Favorite OSU memory: It is a very recent one, actually. My family came out to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving this past year (2021), and stayed for this year’s Bedlam football game. Having my family with me to watch that exciting game has been my favorite OSU memory so far, but I am sure there are more to come.
