Ethan Russo

Ethan Russo was hired as Oklahoma State's Executive Director of Player Personnelin December of 2025.
He come to OSU from Wisconsin, where he served as the Badgers’ Director of Player Personnel for the 2025 season.
Prior to that, Russo spent two seasons at North Texas. He served as the Mean Green’s Director of Player Personnel in 2024 and as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel in 2023. He was tasked with film evaluations, monitoring the transfer portal, updating recruiting boards and assisting in roster management.
Russo was the Director of Player Personnel at UNLV for the 2022 season. While at UNLV, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the program’s personnel department. His main responsibilities were managing the roster, evaluating prospects, monitoring the transfer portal and assisting in various recruiting activities.
From 2019 to 2022, he worked with the University of Utah’s football program. During his time with Utah, he held the roles of Assistant Director of Player Personnel and Player Personnel & Recruiting Assistant. He was tasked with assisting the defensive coaches with identifying, evaluating, and managing prospects. He was able to help achieve two of the top five highest-ranked recruiting classes in the history of the program at that time, according to 247 Sports (30th in 2020 and 33rd in 2021). Utah achieved their first Pac-12 conference championship in 2021.
In 2018, he joined Rice University’s football program as a Player Personnel & Recruiting Analyst. Earlier in 2018, he was a Top 30 Operations Intern with the Indianapolis Colts, where he supported the Director of Operations with various events such as the Top 30 program, rookie mini-camp and training camp.
Between 2016 and 2018, Russo held a Game Charter position with the Cleveland Browns. During his time with the Browns, he was responsible for charting prospects’ film for the 2017 and 2018 NFL Drafts.
In 2015, he began his career in athletics as a student manager for TCU’s football program. He supported the safeties coach and managed the special team’s student-managers during practices.

Russo graduated from TCU in 2017 with a degree in communication studies. He is originally from El Dorado Hills, California.
