Dylan Lowenstein

Dylan Lowenstein joined the Oklahoma State staff in December 2025 as an assistant strength and condition coach.
He came to Stillwater from Oregon State, where he served as an associate football strength and conditioning coach from 2024-25.

His responsibilities have included designing and implementing training programs tailored to first-year players and return-to-play athletes. Lowenstein also oversees the collection, analysis and visualization of performance data using tools like Catapult GPS, creating comprehensive athlete profiles to inform training decisions.

Prior to Oregon State, Dylan served as an assistant performance coach for the XFL, working with the St. Louis Battlehawks and DC Defenders from October 2022 to May 2023. He was later elevated to head of sports science for the league from May 2023 - January 2024. During this time he assisted in leading game day operations and implementation of comprehensive training programs covering strength, speed, energy system development, and athlete assessments. He managed athlete databases utilizing Vald equipment (Force Plates, Nordbord, Dynamo) and Catapult systems (GPS, HR monitor), gathering performance data to optimize athlete performance and monitor their physical exertion levels.
Before leaving for the XFL, Dylan spent the 2022 season as a full-time assistant strength coach at the University of Southern California. During his time there, he oversaw men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's golf, women’s tennis and women’s lacrosse.Â
Before joining USC, Lowenstein spent the 2021 season as a full-time assistant strength coach at California Baptist University. At CBU, he served as the strength coach for the men's and women's swimming, softball, women’s volleyball, women’s water polo and men’s wrestling programs.
He is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS), TPI Level 1 Coach and USA Weightlifting coach.
Prior to his stop at CBU, Lowenstein worked at Loyola Marymount University from 2018-2021. While at LMU, he oversaw training for women’s basketball, men's and women's water polo, men’s rowing, men’s soccer (2018) and women’s swimming (2018).
Lowenstein completed professional internships with the University of Southern California (Spring 2018) football and Olympic programs. He graduated from the University of La Verne in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. He also played baseball for the Leopards. In 2021, he received a Master of Arts graduate degree in Educational Studies from Loyola Marymount University.

His wife, Leah, was a talented soccer player who played at San Diego State and USC, as well as four years in the NWSL. She has since worked as a college soccer coach.
