The 2026-27 season will mark the eighth for Brendan Roberts as the Cowgirl Basketball video coordinator. In his current role, he assists with daily film preparation and production, including practice, in-game film and scouting.

His work with scouting and in-game film helped lead to OSU’s first NCAA Tournament win under head coach Jacie Hoyt in 2025-26, and was influential in the Cowgirls setting a program record with 81.5 points per game.

Roberts was part of Hoyt’s staff in 2024-25, which oversaw a historic season for Cowgirl Basketball. The Cowgirls racked up 25 wins on the season, the third-best total in program history and earned their second NCAA berth in three seasons under head coach Jacie Hoyt.

OSU scored a program-best 113 points against Chicago State, before surpassing the mark with 125 points against Alabama State. The 125 points are the sixth most in a single game in Big 12 history.

OSU entered the Associated Press Top 25 on Jan. 13 for the first time since Feb. 19, 2018. and reached No. 17 in the AP Top 25 poll, its highest ranking since reaching No. 17 in 2016.

The 2022-23 campaign, his first as a member of head coach Jacie Hoyt's staff, saw OSU log a 20-win campaign and return to the NCAA Tournament.

Roberts graduated from Oklahoma State in 2017 with a degree in finance as well as a minor in accounting. From 2013-17, he served as a student manager for the Cowboy basketball program, the last two as the program’s head student manager.

The Cowboys earned a pair of NCAA Championship berths during Roberts’ time as an undergraduate, appearing in the tournament in 2015 and 2017.

Roberts also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant for OSU head coach Mike Boynton.

A native of Flower Mound, Texas, Roberts filmed and coded games, created highlight, recruiting and player development videos.

Additionally, he helped develop and produce daily practice and postgame film edits, as well as assist with opponent scouting. Roberts also had a hand in organizing the Cowboys’ recruiting efforts and the program’s scout team.

Roberts spent the summer of 2019 on the men’s staff at Independence (Kan.) Community College where he helped coordinate the program’s travel, was involved in recruiting and took part in on-court development. He was also in charge of all video for the program.
