2019-20: Received a medical redshirt after season-ending injury in offseason.
2018-19: As a redshirt-junior garnered a 22-9 record for the Cowboys after making the move up to 141 pounds… Went 10-5 in dual action, talleying 41 points for the Pokes in those bouts… Earned his first ranked win of the season on Feb. 24 over No. 16 Max Murin of Iowa… Took third place at the Reno Tournament of Champions in December… Notched eight major decisions on the season, matching the most of any wrestler on the roster… Notched back-to-back falls at West Virginia and Pittsburgh, a road trip in which he spent a brief 3:15 total on the mat… Reached the Big 12 Tournament finals for a third-consecutive season, ultimately dropping the match to OU’s Dom Demas… Earned the No. 15 seed entering the NCAA Championships where he defeated No. 18 Bryan Lantry of Buffalo before falling to Ohio State’s second-ranked Joey McKenna… Defeated in-conference foes No. 17 Ian Parker of Iowa State and Wyoming’s Sam Turner before coming up short against No. 13 Kyle Shoop (Lock Haven).

2016-17: After his true freshman season was cut short due to injury, rebounded in an impressive way by going 29-4 overall and 14-1 in dual matches in his first full season … 2017 All-American, finishing fifth at 133 pounds … Recorded ranked wins over No. 14 Mitch McKee of Minnesota and No. 11 Bryan Lantry of Buffalo to advance to the championship bracket semifinals … With the honor, became the program’s 35th freshman All-American … Came up with a 5-3 win over No. 7 Eric Montoya of Nebraska in the event’s fifth-place match … Defeated No. 10 Earl Hall of Iowa State, 7-4, in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championships, where he finished second … Defeated eventual national champion and No. 1 Cory Clark of Iowa, 7-6, in the Cowboys’ win over the Hawkeyes … Recorded 13 wins over ranked opponents … Tallied 12 bonus point wins, including a team-leading nine major decisions … Earned 53 dual points for the Cowboys, which tied for the most on the team … Recorded 49 takedowns on the season to lead the team … Started the year hot, winning each of his first 16 matches … Went 5-0 at the Southern Scuffle to take home his first career title at the event and help the Cowboys earn the program’s first team title … Competed at the Outlaw Open, and went 4-0 to finish first … Named to the Big 12 and NWCA All-Academic Teams … First-time NCAA qualifier.
