2022-23: Put together a 14-4 record at 184 pounds … Won the Reno Tournament of Champions with a 4-0 record and two bonus-point wins … Notched a third-place finish at the Southern Scuffle with a 5-1 record at the tournament … Picked up a ranked win over No. 23 Jacob Nolan of Binghamton at the Scuffle … Went 2-0 in extra matches against Oregon State and Columbia … Filled in for Travis Wittlake against No. 2 Parker Keckeisen of Northern Iowa and No. 4 Marcus Coleman of Iowa State, both who went on to All-American at the NCAA Championships … Finished his career with a 43-18 career record.
2021-22: Went 13-10 overall as he split time between 184 and 197 pounds … Began the season competing in tournaments at 184 pounds where he held an 11-3 record with placement finishes at the RWC – Jet Open, Reno Tournament of Champions and the Southern Scuffle … Was moved into the starting role at 197 pounds following AJ Ferrari’s automobile accident on January 24 that caused him to miss the remainder of the seasons … Defeated John Gunderson, 4-1, in his dual debut for the Pokes in a must-win bout to keep OSU’s hopes alive in the dual against Northern Iowa … Would also defeat Bucknell’s Mason McCready, 3-2, for his other dual win at 197 pounds as he ended the season 2-7 at 197 pounds … All 10 of his losses came to ranked wrestlers who qualified for the NCAA Championships ... Earned a spot on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team and was recognized as an NWCA Scholar All-American for the first time.
2020-21: Wrestled in extra matches during his sophomore year, posting a 3-1 record … Collected one bonus-point win in a 17-2 tech fall over Little Rock’s Will Edgar.
2019-20: Compiled a 13-3 record competing exclusively in open tournaments in his redshirt-freshman year… Had four bonus-point victories including a 1:24 fall at the Golden Norseman Open… Took first
2018-19 (Redshirt Year): Went 6-2 for the Cowboys at 165 pounds where he competed in two open tournaments… Took second place at the OCU Open where he outscored his opponents 39-5 before dropping a match to fellow Cowboy Colton Denney in the finals… Won three matches at the Lindenwood Open before being forced to injury default out of competition.
High School: Attended Norwayne High school wrestling for head coach Alfredo Grey ... Went 55-1 his senior year, en route to an Ohio state title at 152 pounds... Three-time All-State award recipient... Was a multi-sport athlete competing in soccer and football... Served as National Honor Society president.
Personal: Son of John and Danna Stika... Has two brothers, Tavis and Maccoy Stika... Father played football at Kansas State University... Brother Tavis plays football at Mount Union... Graduated in December 2021 with a bachelor's degree in agribusiness ... Attending grad school for a Master of Agriculture: Agribusiness degree.
