2021-22: Tallied a 10-3 record in open tournaments … Recorded five bonus-point wins, including four falls and a major decision … Went 5-1 at the Reno Tournament of Champions with all five wins coming with bonus points to place sixth … Earned a seventh-place finish at the Southern Scuffle going 5-2 … A 4-0 win over No. 19 Zach Schrader of Maryland marked his lone ranked win of the season ... Named to the Academic All-Big 12 team for the third consecutive season ... Transferred to Life University following graduation to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree and use his final year of eligibility.
2020-21: Made major strides at heavyweight as a junior going 12-8 overall and 6-4 in duals … Was a massive part in the Cowboys earning a top-three finish at the NCAA Championships after getting into the tournament as one of six at-large bids … After losing his first match to No. 4 seed Cohlton Schultz (ASU), Harris won three matches in the wrestlebacks, including two wins over ranked opponents … Defeated No. 3 seed Matt Stencel of Central Michigan, 7-4, and pinned No. 11 seed Zach Elam of Missouri in 3:58 … Was one win away from earning All-America honors as the No. 29 seed in the NCAA tournament … Collected the fastest fall of his career in 51 seconds over Randy Gonzalez of Fresno State at the Big 12 Championship … Went 3-0 at the Cowboy Challenge Tournament, defeating teammate Konner Doucet in the championship match … Entered the national polls for the first time in his career and made it up to No. 19 in the FloWrestling rankings … Earned a spot on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team and was named an NWCA Scholar All-American for his efforts in the classroom.
2019-20: Broke into the starting lineup in his redshirt sophomore year… Went 5-12 on the season including a major decision victory in the Bedlam dual in Stillwater… Earned a spot on the first-team Academic All-Big 12 team.
2018-19: Put together a 5-8 season at 197 pounds with three of those wins coming via fall… Claimed fourth place at the OCU Open and Bob Smith Open… Competed at the Reno Tournament of Champions and made an appearance at the Southern Scuffle.
2017-18 (Redshirt Year): Went 13-8 on the season, wrestling at 174 and 184 pounds for the Cowboys… Nine of his wins came with bonus points, including four falls, one technical fall and four major decisions… Placed second at the OCU Open, collecting bonus points in three of his four matches… Finished third at the Lindenwood Open… Brought home a fourth-place finish from the Bob Smith Open ... Won 97 kg Junior Pan-American titles in Greco-Roman and freestyle.
High School: Went 130-30 overall at Roseburg High School under head coach Steve Lander … Finished eighth in freestyle at Junior Nationals in 2017 to claim All-America status … A four-time state placer, took home the 2017 Oregon state title … Was named all-state in 2017 … Also played football … Was named to the honor roll for 2016 and 2017.
Personal: Was born July 12, 1999 in Medford, Ore., to James and Lisa Harris … Has two siblings, Tyler and Elaina … Plans to major in physiology.
