Proved himself to be one of the premier young sprinters in the country during his breakout freshman outdoor season... Helped the Cowboys break the 39-year-old 4x400 Meter Relay school record at the Texas Relays in the first meet of the season... Picked up a pair of top-5 finishes at the Baylor Invitational in the 400 Meters and 4x400 Meter Relay... Broke under 46 seconds in the 400 for the first time in his career at the Big 12 Championships as he earned his first career All-Big 12 honor... Competed at the NCAA West Prelims in both the 400 Meters and 4x400 Meter Relay... Appeared at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships and was the fastest qualifier in the 400 Meter Prelims... Broke the 50-year-old school record in the 400 as he shattered his personal best in the finals with his time of 45.40 seconds, making him the third-fastest U20 runner in the U.S... Advanced to the U20 World Championships competing for the United States... Ran in the 4x100, 4x400 and 4x400 Meter Mixed Relays, earning two gold and one bronze medal... Helped the U.S. team break the U20 championship record in the 4x400 Mixed Relay with a time of 3:17.69.Â

Competed four times for the Cowboys during his freshman season... Helped the Cowboy 4x400 Meter Relay squad to a third-place finish at the Arkansas Qualifier... Finished 12th overall at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the 400 Meters.Â
