AT GRAND CANYON: Played freshman season at Grand Canyon … made 18 appearances, including four starts, and was 2-1 with a pair of saves and a 3.83 ERA … tallied 47 strikeouts in 47 innings of work … worked 21 2/3 innings in relief in WAC play and had a conference-best 1.25 ERA … recorded first-career win at UT Arlington … picked up first save of career vs. Arizona.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named Grace Brethren High School’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior … also collected Tri-County League Pitcher of the Year, VC Star All-County Second Team and first-team all-league honors … went 4-0 with a 0.96 ERA and struck out 70 in 36 1/3 innings … as a junior was named Ventura County Pitcher of the Year, Tri-County League Pitcher of the Year and first-team all-league after going 6-2 with a 0.95 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings … was 2-0 with a 0.44 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 16 innings as a sophomore.
