2015: Played in 49 games with 48 starts … started 29 games in right field, 18 at DH and one at first base … missed six games in April due to an esophagus injury that caused him to be hospitalized for four days ... named to the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award Watch List … tied for team lead with six home runs … stole career-high 13 bases … recorded 10 multi-hit and eight multi-RBI games … was also 2-0 with a save on the mound … collected career-best four RBIs in a pair of games – vs. Alcorn State (3/11) and Oklahoma (4/7) … was also starter and winning pitcher in both games … win against ASU was first of career ... also tied career high with three hits in the game against the Sooners … worked three innings against Washington State (2/20) and struck out four to earn first-career save … started NCAA Regional game against St. John’s and tossed seven shutout innings and allowed only four hits … seven innings was a career-long outing … named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Teams ... drafted in the 38th round of the MLB Draft by Pittsburgh.
2014: Played in 59 games with 52 starts ... made 26 starts in right field, 16 at DH and 10 in left field ... also started two games on the mound and totaled seven innings pitched ... had 12 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI efforts ... first hit in a Cowboy uniform came on a solo home run in the season opener vs. Incarnate Word (2/14) ... recorded a career-high three RBIs in the Bedlam Series opener against Oklahoma (5/15) ... was named to the NCAA Stillwater Regional All-Tournament Team ... had two hits in each of the three games in the tourney and went 6-for-12 with two home runs and a team-leading six RBIs ... ended the season on a five-game hitting streak, his longest of the year.
ARKANSAS (2012): Played in 20 games, including two starts … hit .176 with three RBIs … recorded first-collegiate hit and RBI against Villanova … was used as a pinch runner in Arkansas’ College World Series win over Kent State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was an all-district and Metro Conference All-Star at Santa Fe HS … led team to three regional titles and Class 6A state runner-up finish as a sophomore … also played football … drafted in the 16th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by Cincinnati.
