Reid Barnett

Reid Barnett joined the Oklahoma State coaching staff in July 2018 as the Cowboys’ director of player development.
Tasked with a number of duties, Barnett spends much of his time heavily involved in the Cowboys’ academic development and welfare. He also assists the coaching staff in developing practice plans and compiling scouting reports along with various other tasks.
A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, Barnett earned his education degree from Oklahoma State in May 2014 before completing work on a master’s degree in exercise science in May 2016.
Barnett pitched for the Cowboys during the 2013 season, appearing in seven games, and was named to the Big 12 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2013 and 2014. He also earned OSU’s Student-Athlete Academic Excellence Award.
Barnett came to OSU after two seasons at Western Oklahoma State College, where he helped the Pioneers to the 2011 NJCAA DII national championship in 2011 and a runner-up finish in 2012.
