Round One OSU Pom Tryouts are video based for all participants.

The application process is open until Friday, April 10, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Instructions for video submissions and other tryout procedures will be released to ALL applicants on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Applications will not be taken after April 10, 2025.
You will need to provide your own dance space and videography. The tryout will be a full out dance routine with all skills required to be on OSU Pom. Give yourself plenty of time to find the appropriate space for turns and leaps.

Steps to complete ROUND ONE of the tryout process:
1. Apply and be admitted to Oklahoma State University or NOC-Stillwater. Participants required to have proof of acceptance for their videos to be considered.
2. Complete the ROUND ONE tryout application form using the following link: https://forms.gle/wN47KkRJKCqNy3CR7
3. Use the following link to submit your proof of acceptance: https://www.dropbox.com/request/foB73S0d3GRE9pZ9WNKX
Steps to complete ROUND ONE of the tryout process:
1. Apply and be admitted to Oklahoma State University or NOC-Stillwater. Participants required to have proof of acceptance for their videos to be considered.

    - email stating you have been admitted
    - printed letter stating you have been admitted

    - other document indicating you are admitted student for Fall 2026.

Include a head shot and full body photograph in tryout attire (3 inch spandex shorts, sports bra). The pictures need to be an accurate representation of you right now. They do not need to be professional photos.
5. You will receive a confirmation email stating that your ROUND ONE registration has been completed.
6. If you attend the April 12 Prep Clinic, your $20 is waived. Email confirmation will be sent.
Steps to complete the VIDEO portion of the ROUND ONE Tryout process:
1. April 12, 2026Â at 4:00 PM, a link to the tryout video will be emailed to the email address in your application. This will include a video of the routine with instructions and a full-out demonstration.
2. Your video submission is required to have one continuous video of the tryout routine. This will all be included in the demonstration/instructional video that each applicant will receive. This video may not be cut or edited. A link to submit the video will be provided to you on April 12. Your ROUND ONE Tryout video submission is due by 11:59 PM on April 15, 2026

Appropriate attire: 3 inch spandex shorts and a sports bra top (any color). Abdominals, arms, and waist cannot be covered. Wear shoes you are comfortable dancing in, limit jewelry to one rhinestone stud in ear.

5. Participants chosen for Semi-Finals will be emailed a detailed itinerary for the remainder of the tryout process. Semi-Finals and Finals are held in Stillwater beginning May 1, 2026 at 4:00 PM thru May 3, 2026. In-Person Only.

- Triple and Quad Pirouette
- Fouette Turn Combination
- Left and Right Split
- Leaps Left and Right
- Center Leaps
- Spinning Disc
- Dance training in different genres

Benefits
As a Spirit Group member you have no financial obligations.
- Uniforms, camp, camp clothes, footwear and ALL travel expenses are covered (including meal money).
- Additionally, there are many opportunities provided to help you raise funds for yourself such as judging tryouts, and giving private lessons.
- Full access to a team doctor, athletic trainer, and strength and conditioning coach. All spirit group members participate in a complete strength and conditioning program in Gallagher-Iba's outstanding strength and conditioning facility.
- You have wonderful travel opportunities!
- Community service events are a large part of your experience here. From visiting hospitals, engaging in Special Olympics events, to reading in elementary classrooms, there are many opportunities to represent OSU and give back.
Being a part of the Spirit Group can give you the opportunity to travel all over the country. There have been basketball and football games in Hawaii, snow skiing in Colorado, and football games in Florida.
Requirements
High School Seniors planning to attend OSU as well as current OSU students may try out for the Coed Varsity Cheer Squad and the Varsity Pom Squad.

High School Seniors planning to attend OSU as well as current OSU students may try out for the Coed Varsity Cheer Squad and the Varsity Pom Squad.
- Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (this is parallel with the athletic department standard).
- Must complete tryout application and waiver.
- Must submit evidence of having been accepted to OSU or NOC-Stillwater
- Must verify Health Insurance at registration.
These obligations are strictly enforced by the Athletic Department representative who sponsors the Spirit Group. Cases may be regulated according to individual situations. Spirit Group members are seen as cheerleaders, dancers, entertainers, and most importantly, as Ambassadors for the university. Public relations is a common part of the Spirit Group's role at OSU.
Sporting Events
Part of being the best means effective sideline cheering and crowd leadership! Each squad member is required to attend all athletic events, understand the role of the Spirit Group at these events, and lead and entertain the crowd in order to support Oklahoma State as ambassadors! Performances and competition are only part of the commitment. Our priority is to support our athletic teams! OSU athletes have won 52 NCAA National Championships and with a winning tradition like this, cheering is fun, challenging and exciting! As a squad member you can count on several things:
