General Information for Baseball/Softball Emergencies
- Know current and forecasted weather conditions and Homeland Security Alert Levels.
- If traveling with family or friends you should pre-determine a location both inside and outside the stadium to meet in case you get separated.
- Upon arriving at your seat location, locate the nearest exit/emergency exit (then locate an alternate exit) in case of an emergency.
- If you see suspicious or unusual behavior, please report it immediately to the police or game day event staff.
- Public service announcements will be made over the public address system with stadium emergency information.
- In any stadium emergency, please remain calm, assist others and if necessary leave in an orderly fashion.
- Do not use elevators (softball stadium) in the event of a fire.
- If the game is delayed because of weather, the game will resume as soon as the weather passes.
- Please remain in your vehicles if a severe thunderstorm (lightning, hail) occurs prior to stadium gates being opened.
- Please listen to the stadium public address system and local Stillwater radio stations for weather updates during the delay.
- Seek shelter if a tornado is approaching prior to gates being opened. Visit safety.okstate.edu for important severe weather and tornado safety tips.
- Follow directions of game day staffing and emergency responders.
- If you leave the stadium, you will need your game ticket to reenter the stadium.
