2022-23: Began his third season as the starter at 125 pounds, but did not wrestle after January 15 ... Posted a 13-5 record overall in his time in the lineup with a 4-3 mark in dual competition ... Went 5-0 at the Reno Tournament of Champions to take the title ... Also competed at the Southern Scuffle where he went 4-2 and placed fourth ... Recorded four falls on the season, three of which came at the Reno TOC and the other being over Bucknell's Grayson McLellan in 1:17 ... Defeated No. 12 Brandon Kaylor of Oregon State on January 8 ... His last outing of the season came on January 15 in a 6-0 loss to Nick Babin of Columbia … Named to the Academic All-Big 12 team for the second year in a row.
2021-22: Improved upon a solid freshman season with a 19-5 record at 125 pounds as a sophomore … Took third at the Big 12 Championships, going 4-1 and defeating ranked opponents in three of his four wins … Compiled a 14-2 record in duals … Entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 7 seed … Defeated Iowa State’s No. 26 Kysen Terukina, 4-2, in the first round before matches with No. 10 Michael DeAugustino and No. 8 Patrick McKee … Was ranked as high as No. 6 in the nation at 125 pounds during an 11-0 start to the season … Earned Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors for the first time following his 10-6 victory over fifth-ranked McKee earlier in the season, which was his first ever win over an All-American and the highest-ranked win of his career … Went 9-5 against ranked opponents, including three consecutive wins over ranked foes in late January … Excelled in the classroom as he was named a First Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree and an NWCA Scholar All-American.Â
2020-21: Started every dual for the Cowboys at 125 pounds as a true freshman … Compiled a 15-6 record with a 9-1 mark in duals … His only loss in the dual season came to No. 18 Brody Teske of Northern Iowa … Picked up his first career fall in 1:40 against Khyler Brewer of Little Rock … Collected a fifth-place finish at his first Big 12 tournament with a 3-2 showing, including a 19-1 tech fall over Iowa State’s Kysen Terukina in the fifth-place match that sent him to the NCAA Championships as an automatic qualifier … Was the No. 21 seed in the 125-pound bracket at the NCAA Championships … Picked up two wins at the tournament, including one over No. 11 seed Dylan Ragusin of Michigan in consolations.
High School: Posted a 96-4 record under coach Brian Antonelli at Blair Academy … Was a three-time All-American in his high school career … Named a Fargo All-American three times … Won the Walsh Jesuit Ironman tournament twice and was a three-time prep national champion.
