Cowboy Baseball Earns 13th Consecutive NCAA Regional Bid
May 25, 2026 | Cowboy Baseball
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State earned the 51st NCAA Regional bid in program history and extended its streak of Regional bids to 13 as the Cowboys were awarded an at-large berth and No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional that includes host and No. 7 national seed Alabama, third-seeded USC Upstate and No. 4 seed Alabama State.
OSU is tied with Miami (FL) for third all time in NCAA Regional berths, behind only Texas (65) and Florida State (62), and the Cowboys' 13 consecutive bids stands as the nation's second-longest active streak behind Florida's 18.
The Cowboys are 37-20 on the season, which includes an 18-12 mark and fifth-place finish in the Big 12 Conference. OSU is led by an offense that ranks second nationally with 137 home runs, highlighted by Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy semifinalist Kollin Ritchie.
Fourteenth-year head coach Josh Holliday has led his alma mater to an NCAA Regional in each of his seasons at the helm. There was no NCAA tourney in 2020 after the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Tuscaloosa Regional is one of 16 held across the country this weekend, each of which involves four teams and is a double elimination format. The winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional advances to face the winner of the Tallahassee Regional in a best-of-three Super Regional the following week with a spot in the College World Series on the line.
