Preston Stout Named Golfer of the Week For Third Time

STILLWATER, Okla. – For the second time in three weeks and the third time overall this spring, Oklahoma State's Preston Stout has been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Week it was announced today by the league office.
A junior from Richardson, Texas, Stout fired rounds of 69, 67 and 69 to finish at 11-under 205 and a shot clear of the field at the Mountaineer Invitational. The All-American has now won three of his last five starts. After winning the Cabo Collegiate, he finished third at the Pauma Valley Invitational before sharing medalist honors with teammate Ethan Fang at the Maridoe Collegiate. He followed a 14th-place showing at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational with his win in West Virginia.
Stout made it three consecutive golfers of the week for head coach Alan Bratton's squad. Junior Gaven Lane garnered the honor last week and was preceded by Stout and Fang, who shared the honor on April 2.
Stout received the honor for the first time on March 5, while Fang was named golfer of the month for September.
