Jepkirui clocked the fifth-fastest time in NCAA history in the 1,500 Meters with her mark of 4:04.59 at the Arkansas Spring Invitational. Her time ranks No. 1 in the NCAA this season and was the second fastest in program history, behind only Sinclaire Johnson's 4:03.72 at the 2019 USATF Outdoor Championships.
For her performance, she was also named the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week, becoming the second Cowgirl to win the award after Kaela Edwards in 2016. Jepkirui is coming off an indoor season in which she was a two-time first team All-American in the Mile and 3,000 Meters and a two-time Big 12 Champion in the Mile and 1,000 Meters. Her latter performance at the conference meet also garnered her National Athlete of the Week honors.
