Cowboy Baseball’s Meola Tabbed Big 12’s Best

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State third baseman Aidan Meola is the Big 12 Player of the Week for week two following his performance during the Grand Canyon series.

Meola helped lead the Cowboys to wins in three of their four games at GCU, going 8-for-19 (.421) at the plate with a double, four home runs and 12 RBIs to go along with a 1.105 slugging percentage.

A senior, Meola homered in all four games and had RBI outputs of three, one, three and five. He posted multiple hits in three of the four games.

On Saturday, Meola's two-run homer snapped a tie, and his RBI single two innings later helped the Cowboys extend their lead in a game they won, 10-7.

In Sunday's series clinching finale, Meola tied his career high with five RBIs. He drove in OSU's first run with a two-out single in the first inning, then delivered a grand slam in the fourth inning to propel the Pokes to a run-rule win.
