Cowboy Golf Heads To Augusta For Haskins Award Invitational
April 04, 2025 | Cowboy Golf
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team returns to action this weekend when it begins play at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club.
Fresh off their third runner-up finish of the season earlier in the week at the Maridoe Intercollegiate, the fourth-ranked Cowboys will be one of 15 teams in action at the par-72, 7,086-yard layout.
The 54-hole event will get underway with an 8:30 a.m. (EST) shotgun start on Saturday morning and will feature continuous play with the second round slated for the afternoon. Sunday's final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. as well.
OSU will be grouped with Texas and North Carolina to begin play.
Head coach Alan Bratton's lineup will once again feature the sophomore quartet of Ethan Fang, Preston Stout, Eric Lee and Gaven Lane as well as freshman Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson.
In OSU's outing earlier in the week in Texas, Stout led the way with a third-place finish, his third top-three finish in his last four starts, while Lane claimed sole possession of fifth place, his best showing of the year. Lee notched a 10th-place finish, giving him three top 10s in his last four starts.
The Cowboys have racked up a pair of victories, three second-place finishes and a third-place showing in their last six starts.
OSU has won the event in Augusta on a pair of occasions, finishing first in 2011 and 2021. Kevin Tway made it a clean sweep in 2011 when he earned medalist honors.
