Cowboys Garner Top Seed For NCAA Urbana Regional

INDIANAPOLIS – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will serve as the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Urbana Regional it was revealed today with the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee's selection of the teams and individuals for the regional rounds of the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 12-14. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
The second-ranked Cowboys are coming off a victory at the Big 12 Championship last week at Southern Hills Country Cub in Tulsa and have collected five wins on the year.
OSU leads the nation with 16 regional titles, six more than the second-best total. The Cowboys have won seven regional titles in 10 tries under the direction of head coach Alan Bratton, including a run of six consecutive from 2016-22.
Three years ago, Eugenio Chacarra wrapped up medalist honors at the NCAA Columbus Regional to become the 12th Cowboy to do so.
Overall, the Cowboys have qualified for the NCAA Championship in 75 of a possible 77 seasons.
